He is a lighting designer, and a representative of LIGHT SCENE Inc. On the theme of "Environment Lighting" he considers the optical environment of people; he does all the lighting design from interior design and construction, to landscape. He understands the use of the space, and in order to create a comfortable optical environment, he makes suggestions for construction and interior design and takes into consideration instrument design.

He was the vice chairman of the Board of Directors in Human-Centered Design Organization (HCD-Net). His representative work is ThinkPad.
